The Prime Minister Visits King’s Maths School

In 2017, Prime Minister Theresa May visited King’s College London Mathematics School (KCLMS) to recognise the school's outstanding achievements in mathematics and STEM education.

During her visit, she met students and staff, observed lessons, and praised the success of the specialist maths school. At the time, KCLMS was already one of the UK's highest-performing state schools, with exceptional A-level results and strong progression to leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. 2025 students achieved A*71%, A/A* 92.3%, 42% Oxbridge acceptance rate.

The visit highlighted KCLMS's growing reputation as a centre of excellence for young mathematicians and scientists.
